On Saturday, March 26,2016, I was bored and I had seen where THIS had The Young Riders on and thought about watching but I decided not to.Instead, I watched Wonder Woman and Star Trek on ME-TV but at 9 P.M. I was going through the channels and there was The Young Riders-Bad Company.I was sent back to being 15 in a heartbeat and although through time I had forgotten how much I loved the show,I was reminded very quickly. Now I watch every Saturday night and I have bought two different versions of season one on DVD plus season two and three.Thank you and the rest of the cast and crew for making such special and timeless show.

I remember watching the show when I was. Young woman. I really liked it but it has been on and I’ve watched again. The character that most stands out to me was yours. You did a great job of making the Kid a sweet, gentlemanly man that a girl could both love and trust. Awesome to watch again!

  5. Sharon says:

Have always loved the old west, and your show was wonderful to watch. You guys were all so cute, especially
you Ty. I really loved the romance you had with Lou, it was such a sweet and loving time between you two. Why did your series stop?

    • Ty says:

Thanks, Sharon! Glad you liked the show. I don’t know all the details of the cancellation of the show, but most likely it was due to low ratings.

  6. Dianna Jaynes says:

I have always loved to watch the Young Riders such special people . They seem to always cancel good shows to replace with stupid shows which i hate and never watch .I hope that the crew still keeps in touch .

  7. Becky says:

Have loved your show from the beginning hate the people that canceld it still enjoy watching the re-runs of it

  8. Bonnie Young says:

  10. William says:

Did not watch this show when it first came on but now I watch it on reruns, great show.

  11. Claud George says:

This is one of the most down to earth show I have ever watched! You made the viewers feel like we there with you. Your great smile and the way you looked at Kid and also with the warmth in your eyes . . . .made us feel like we were family. So sorry that the show had to come to an end. So thankful that STARS/ENCORE is showing reruns and what a pleasure to see you once again.

  12. Darlene says:

Favorite episode??? Mine is Star Bright with Brian Keith. He was so funny and the facial expressions of each of you is priceless. I’m so glad Starz and This are showing the series now. I watch about 4 shows a day. There is nothing else on that I will watch. I didn’t watch when it was originally on, but glad I found it now. Each person on the show is so special. Your character is such a cutie and you played him perfectly.

  13. Fred Casey says:

When “The Young Riders” first aired I think I had it confused with “Young Guns” and I didn’t try it. If I had only watched one of them I would have loved it.

  14. Calvin says:

Ty, I just read where Yvonne died last month………so sad a great actress taken away from us by cancer. DAMN. I became infatuated with her as I watched the reruns……..I am sure the whole cast was stunned and heartbroken..

  15. Terri says:

Loved this show when it was in and just discovered it is on Amazon Prime. So happy to watch it again from the beginning.

  16. Patty says:

I have loved this show since it first aired, and have watched it several times, since then. You have always been my very favorite on the show…playing The Kid with absolute perfection. My heart was broken when I read about Yvonne Suhor’s death, but she brings happiness to everyone watching the show, along with the rest of the cast, over and over again. It’s a great show that should have gone on for ten seasons, at least. I only wish I would have gotten to see you in a hundred more…or so…productions of anything and everything. The very best to you – from someone who thanks you for the continuing saga that I get to keep watching, whenever I want to see something excellent on TV….from Patty

  18. Dawn says:

We are the same age. Back n the day, when TYR was on each week, I was a new wife and new mom so I didn’t make time for the show. Currently, I’m confined to bed most days due to a debilitating health condition so I search Netflix and Amazon Prime for good things to watch. Currently I’m on the second time through Season 2. I’m loving the show and even got my husband to watch a few episodes with me. He couldn’t believe we missed it back in the TV era. I’ve also spent a lot of time searching for other projects you all have done, and I’m so disappointed that you didn’t do more. Hopefully though, you are happy and blessed in your life!

  19. Helen says:

I too watched The Young Riders when it first aired in Australia. Im watching again for the second time now. My favourite story line was of course Kid and Lou. I just found out about Yvonne – very sad. I never understand when good shows are not that popular. Im convinced its due to lack of advertising or bad timeslot rather than just my preference being a minority. It had great storyline’s, characters and acting!

Absolutely wonderful show. Have always loved anything about Pony Express and that time frame. I wanted to go see all of u actors when u came to St. Joseph to the Pony Express Stables. Unfortunately I didn’t get too. Had the biggest crush on the Kid and Buck!! Sitting here watching Young Riders tonight brings back so many wonderful teenage memories!! Thank u for helping make that show one of my favorites!!

  22. Janie says:

My husband and I just discovered “The Young Riders” during the Pandemic and time of social isolation. When this show first aired we were too busy raising young children to know about the show or watch it. Now that we are asked to stay at home we are enjoying watching episodes most every evening. We look forward to seeing what our boys, and girl, are up to. Thanks for the fun entertainment!

  23. Miky says:

Love it soo much, love story of Kid and Lou is the cutest I’ve never seen.
I remember The show until 1992 when I was 11, I found it on you tube, I rewatch with pleasure

  24. RK says:

I came upon the show when it first aired, very early on in season 1. I stopped and watched a few minutes, then on a hunch hit “record” on the VCR. My hunch was right–the episode was great and before the next one aired I’d re-watched it I don’t know how many times. The best part was watching with my friends who became big fans as well. Thank you for making such an enjoyable show and a great teenage memory!

  25. Susan says:

Enjoying the show today which I watched lo- those many years ago. It is a perfect respite during these trying times. You and your fellow actors created memorable characters that are a joy to spend time with., and that is really saying something. You created a family of sorts that we still relate to today, and maybe especially today when family isn’t around as they usually are. There is something comforting in a group of disparate people coming together with warmth and caring to support each other, and the simple assurance that justice will prevail and the bad guys will be vanquished in the end. Really enjoyable, really timeless.

I am 75yrs old .I love westerns my husband and I watch Gun Smoke , Virginian, Young Riders and any movie that stars Tom Sellek and Sam Elliot I wish you guys could all get together and star in another movie about the Young Riders I mean the ones from the Young Riders

  27. Betty. Hendrix says:

I love you guys and wish you would make a new movie together

  28. Anna Payne says:

I will always believe that this was one of the best shows ever!! My husband and I used to tape every episode on VHS. At the time of the first episode we were houseparents at a children’s home in south Texas and I had the kids in our cottage watch it and we all quickly decided which character on the show reminded us of our kids and the names on the show became our nicknames…My husband was Teaspoon and I was Emma…
Fast forward to 2004 when I started homeschooling my own children and dug out the old VHS tapes and this show became part of my American history lessons for my oldest son (now 24). Imagine my surprise when he fell in love with the show at age 8 and watched every episode over and over on those old grainy tapes….commercials and interruptions for local political races as well as weather warnings from where we lived at the children’s home during that era of our lives. This show taught togetherness…no matter what your background and family values. I’m so thankful to the writers and actors for teaching these values to 2 generations in my own personal experience. Thanks Ty for being a part of so many lives you probably never even knew you touched.

Ty, as residents of Tucson, my daughter and I spent many hours at Old Tucson watching the filming of “Young Riders”. Rubbing elbows with all of you was great fun, and we enjoyed watching the finished shows on TV every week. We also enjoyed seeing you around town and at various events. You and all the cast and crew are thought of often and missed greatly. Carol (an 83 year old fan)
